Wow, the floor looks amazing. I hope you love it and feel like the hard work, mess, inconvenience and time it's taken is worth it...it certainly does look like a beautiful kitchen.

So now the house is done, we are moving on to the garden. On the whole we love most of it and very little major work needs done. What we do need to do though is sort out something outside the new kitchen bifolds. It used to be the back of the garage and as such the garden was designed to hide it. With making it the kitchen, we want the exact opposite and look out to the view.
We started by cutting back the bushes and removing the derelict log store but now need to work out what to do with the space. It is north facing and gets very little sunshine even in summer. We also need steps for the doors. What is left of our budget is limited, we also don’t like the idea of a massive patio right across the back. Thoughts at the moment are a small deck using composite plastic wood, and have seen some pictures but still not sure so thought I would ask for ideas. Here is what we are working with: The concrete slab is approximately 6 inches thick and we would prefer not to have to remove it🥴

Just read all through this! Your house is absolutely stunning. You seemed to keep so calm through it all.
We too are leaving the garden until last, we are picking up plants etc when we see them, but otherwise it’s last on the list. I can’t help with garden ideas but your kitchen is so beautiful

Aw thank you!
Not sure about the calm bit, probably just lost the will to live I did lose it a few times, estate agents, hubby, kids but lucky I had friends that got a screaming whats app to keep me sane I can't believe how quickly yours is coming on and your costs - ours has taken twice as long and cost almost twice as much as we planned and budgetted. Yours will be lovely, with so much character that we don't have Would love to see some garden pics, and with any luck the weather will have cooled by the time you get on to it and everything can get established over the winter Good luck and looking forward to seeing more pics!

I’m absolutely no gardener- but would you use the concrete slab as a base for water feature/ ornament/ sundial and plant around it? Many congratulations on your beautiful home

Thank you.
We have thought about that especially as while clearing it we came across a common lizard and a toad! Dh said it will be hard to get the electric and water across to it though unless we bury them so not a trip hazard. We might also be able to put them under the steps we need out of the door. However from our last water feature experience not sure if our budget will stretch
