Glasgow for families - what to see and where to eat
We’ll be in Glasgow for one day next week. Initial thoughts were to go to the Kelvingrove, will there be enough there for a 6 and 3 year old? Are there any other must see attractions in Glasgow? Would appreciate any restaurant recommendations too.
Thanks

There's quite a lot of interactive parts in Kelvingrove for the kids.
There's also the Science Centre, which again has loads of interactive attractions / exhibits - probably more so than Kelvingrove. Transport museum on the other side of the Clyde from the Science Centre is also good. Foodwise depends on cuisine/ budget...like all cities, Glasgow has hundreds to choose from! |

If going to Kelvingrove museum you can walk from there to Ashton Lane, then on to Glasgow University and then on to Kelvingrove Park. There is plenty to see on the way plus a big kids play park. Loads of food places in this area as well so you just wing it and see what you fancy.
I don’t really rate the ‘new’ transport museum as it is not very interactive. I went to the old museum when you could actually go into the buses not just look from the outside. It is free though. |

+1 for the transport museum. Not done science centre in a very long time but always enjoyed it as a kid.
