Where to take kids 12 & 10 on weekend break
Hi
I’ve managed to find a dog sitter for one weekend and would love to take the kids somewhere. I’ve tried Centre Parcs but it’s fully booked any other suggestions. Thanks |

What kids of things do they enjoy doing and how far would you want to travel from where you live?

Have a look at luxury family hotels, not quite the same as centre parks but really family oriented. Moonfleet manor is excellent, loads of activities mine were 8,10 and 13 when we went and we hardly saw them. We’ve also been to the Ickworth which didn’t have quite as much in the hotel but was in national trust grounds so had use of their adventure play and bike hire for £5 each.
They are very small hotels so very different to centre parks. Forest holidays are also good, we’ve been to the sherwood one which backs on the the centre parks, no pool area but there is a go ape and bike riding/hire nearby and there was a quiz in the evening and some park ranger type activities on. Also each lodge has a hot tub. Bex |
