We looked at pop before we booked with all stars for sept the difference was over £700 for 2 weeks.
We hired a car at £297 plus 2 weeks parking around £175 so can make our own way to the parks in the morning. We found the buses quite unreliable when we went in may and missed out on the 30 min early opening

Even before the Skyliner I'd always pick Pop over the All Stars. Have had a better experience with bus transportation at Pop, plus I like that I also have the option of taking the AoA bus and then just walking over the bridge back to Pop. Have also had a much better experience at check in and bell services at Pop (generally great over my many trips) than my one insane manic experience with check in and bell services at All Star Movies (over two days).

The Skyliner is even more reason to go for Pop - I stayed there in 2019 after the Skyliner opened and it was amazing knowing I could get from my room to the entrance of DHS in about 20 minutes, and Epcot in about 30 minutes.

That being said. I'm currently booked for 2 nights at All Star Movies for an upcoming trip, mainly as it was $60 cheaper/night than Pop, and we're arriving extremely late the first night so just need somewhere to sleep...

We liked pop, but it was a bit like a hotel room and vast car park (we over looked the car park and walked across it to get to the buses). So not much Disney magic, but you can’t deny the cable car allure it now has (it wasn’t open when we last went).

Change of plans - just swapped my ASMovies reservation to Pop for those 2 nights...

Not to generalise, but I have found the people who prefer All Stars over Pop have never stayed at Pop, and the people who have stayed at both prefer Pop. This is certainly what everyone I know thinks, and what is generally mentioned online.

Yes I would 100% agree with the above statement. I would definitely prefer to stay at pop over All stars but then I would prefer to stay at any other Disney resort over AS but it's all down to budget.
Would prefer to be at AS over being at work mind

We stayed at All Star Sports on our last trip, and loved it. The theming is great and the food court was fine for what we needed, and the main pool was good fun. We’re staying at Pop this year as we like to try somewhere new, but would go back to All Stars if we wanted to. The Skyliner is a the bus bonus for Pop I think.
