Asda Rewards - Now Gone National

A certain limited number of Asda stores have taken part in a Rewards scheme. Mine being one of them.

Basically download the App and when you check out scan the barcode on your phone. Cash gets added to your 'pot'.

I have only been participating for about 4 weeks and already have over £8.

However it's now gone National so everybody can take part. Be rude not to!

I found this link which shows that online shopping does get rewards.

If you shop at Asda you might as well get it but I found it surprising how many people were turning down the option to join yesterday

How it compares overall to other reward cards remains to be seen maybe not quite as good as some as you earn for doing certain things rather than per £ spent- eg total spend, buy so many of a certain type of product within a set time scale or buy a specific product.
Personally I’ll probably manage 4 out of 6 current challenges - don’t need back to school stuff or homewares so won’t bother with those but the others mean I’ll be getting £5.50 back for buying things I’m getting anyway plus £1.50 if I hit the £50 total spend threshold.
Star buys not so great - most are things I don’t normally buy and I don’t feel the extra reward is worth the cost of buying them so not much to gain there personally but I can see how it could add up for other people .

Going to see how much I can earn by Xmas by just doing my normal shopping.

I wont make a great deal of cash on it but I already have £11.40 earned after just shopping there today. I think today added £2+ to my pot.

I like to hit Asda for the Xmas gift cards. Get a few in January and lob £280 on them. Come November get that money back plus £15 free. Better than a savings account.
