I wear pedal pushers when I walk the dog in the rain. Dragging round for an hour with wet trousers is not much fun,must be awful for a whole shift

My husbands friend is a postman. They still run the competition as to who wears the shorts the longest and because there are a lot they split the winnings at the end of the year. They used to put a pound a week in but not sure if that’s gone up now

I think its uniform requirement for a postie can't remember ever seeing ours in long trousers.

We have a lady postie sometimes she wears trousers but the men wear shorts and I have also heard about the competition for who wears them the longest

One of my members of staff always comes into work in shorts,then changes into his uniform.
Another 2 customers that come in on an afternoon,also always wears shorts,i would think it strange,if I ever saw them dressed otherwise,but I agree it’s definitely becoming more common.
Oh and our postie is another one always in shorts!
