What to expect in June.

Hi guys, we are travelling on the 29th of May 2017 for 16 nights till the 14th of June. We tend to always go in November as we usually get still good weather and the crowds are quite low. We couldn't afford to go this November but didn't want to go next as Son starts secondary school in September 17. We have read so much now though about horrendous heat and crowds and getting a bit worried. Son 10 has type 1 diabetes and so we plan everything usually in great detail! Lol. X. Sarah

We visited first 2 weeks in June this year. It was only really humid a couple of days, the rest of the time it was hotter than our preferred time of October, but not unbearable.

It rained almost every afternoon, just for a little while but again we weren't used to this from our October visits.

In short, it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be and are discussing going back around the same time next year.

Edited to add: the parks were busy but not ridiculously so. I believe they are much busier at all times of year now anyway.

It's Memorial Day weekend around the 29th so I would imagine the first few days might be quite busy.

I think the busier summer period doesn't start till around the time your holiday finishes so I would imagine after the first few days where it could be busier it shouldn't be so bad after that.

My wife and son struggle with the heat, so we go early May rather than later - so I think it will be hot on your dates but not as unbearable like it can be in July & August.

It will be in the 90s at the hottest part of the day and there is a good chance of rain at least every other day on average due to the humanity.
They have sudden Downpours but are often short lived and dry quite quickly.

There will be more cloud cover than say Oct/November. There were not that many clear blue sky days when we went a number of years ago at that time. Beginning of June we found rather busy , the same as August with the water parks busier in my opinion. The middle of june it seemed to ease off.

We went June 16th for 2 weeks this year. 2 adults and 2 kids (5 and 3).

Crowds were fine as long as you planned your fast passes carefully and didn't mind the odd 40 minute wait. Have a look on here for the busy days park guide which gives you a good idea of which parks to avoid and which more likely to be a little quieter.

Weather was in the 90's and just tipping the 100 degree mark a couple of days. It was very humid and rained for 20 mins or so maybe every other day. One day it rained for a good 4 hours or so.

The humidity was manageable as long as you wore the right clothes, drank plenty of water and found some shade now and then. Definitely easier for us than the kids though!

One thing we did notice was the roads seemed a lot busier than usual so maybe plan to leave earlier/arrive later if driving?

We went 1st of June this year and whilst it's pretty hot and humid it's not unbearable, just make sure you have a lot of water
From what I remember the crowds was not as bad as I was expecting, just make sure you get your fast passes sorted and don't rush the days.
Have fun!
