I feel backed up into a corner at the moment. My travel company have agreed that I don’t need to pay balance ( die last week) until Disney have made an announcement on cancellation of free dining and any possible compensatory measures, however I have to make a decision about tickets by Monday! If free dining isn’t reimbursed some how (which I doubt it will be ) then we can’t afford to go (extra £2.5k) if I say I want to keep tickets I have to pay them off now but if I say I don’t want to keep tickets i lose them but then will have no tickets (or any reason to cancel) if we end up being able to go because an offer is announced. Anyone else in this position or have any advice?

Can you not just buy tickets later or is this restricted?

All new ticket sales have stopped. Plus the tickets were part of our package

This sounds odd. To get free dining, you had to book the hotel, tickets and dining together. They can’t separate the tickets from the rest of the package. Why are they saying you have to pay for tickets by Monday?

We’ve had an email based on a Disney announcement. Anyone going this year needs to confirm and pay for tickets by 10th June or they won’t be valid for the new reservation system.

Attraction Tickets have this on their website if it is any use:

Disney Ultimate Tickets - The expiry of 2020 Disney Ultimate Tickets will now be extended until 30 September 2021 (tickets must be activated on or before 16 September 2021 to get the full 14 days usage). If you are planning to change your holiday to any time 1 January to 16 September 2021, you can keep your tickets as these can be activated at any time between these dates. If you are changing your holiday to a date between 17 September to 31 December 2021, tickets will need to be returned to us as per the process for changing the year of travel below. The difference in the ticket price will be payable.

From what I understood, if the ticket was part of a package, you didn't have to pay? But maybe this has changed!

We are booked as a package with ATD and have only paid a deposit, but they said the booking can be amended to ticket only at a later time if we no longer want the whole package now free dining has gone.

Mine won’t even acknowledge yet that free dining has gone. They’ve asked if I want the tickets and if so have to let them know tomorrow.
