Pretty obvious the response you’d get asking on a Disney fan site
If you didn’t do it, what would you spend the money on instead ?
Who says you can’t be “greedy” , do they think you should spend your money on them instead ?

Have fun and come back to tell us all about it when you come back
Awwww that’s will tell you all about it!

I can afford it but I hate the jealously and negative comments like ‘you must have won the lottery’ from people around me f who cant do two big trips in space of 10 months. Like I’m showing off or something.

I wouldn’t spend it on anything apart from pay bills, daily living etc, work night outs every now and again, a few concerts. I guess I feel greedy as they are a big luxury 2 big hols in 10 months don’t have a high flying job but I can afford these 2 trips I’ve done the maths. I guess in life you get the people who think I’ve won the lottery.

If you can afford it why not. Our lives have been on hold. We need to value them and do the things we enjoy

You work hard for your money , if people are jealous that’s their problem . They’ve just chosen to spend it on other things.
My favourite mantra fits this situation. “You can’t help what other people do and say but you have complete control over how you react or feel about it.

One year we did new york in april and florida in august the same year. Florida had been booked 18 months in advance, new york was an opportunity and price not to be missed that came along at the right time. Didnt feel guilty or greedy. Fortune smiled and we could afford both time and moneywise. No regrets.

I agree that people who think like that are sometimes jealous. They imagine that it can't be possible for an everyday family to afford a Disney holiday; they assume incorrectly that you must have come by the money to cover the costs the easy way.
Sad really

I think it’s because I’m single, 30 and most others in my life and job would take like 3 years or more to do 2 big long haul trips and I don’t exactly have a mega bucks job and never do overtime but I do save save save!
