Spread them, as from our experience in January the choice of extra FP's was incredibly poor. We had a DAS so wasn't a huge deal breaker for us, but was surprised that by 11am not much ws left xx

As we are DVC members we make the most of morning EMH and then have the afternoons for pool relaxation / shopping / trips out. We return 5 ish and the use our FPs throughout the evening.

Yes, I usually booked them for late morning/early afternoon. We made use of the shorter queues in the first hour or so, and also finished them fairly early in the afternoon so we could try to get more.
I voted for morning.

I’ve selected afternoon - but that’s actually a lie! I always opt for evenings (but that wasn’t an option.
I much prefer mine train, thunder mountain, Everest in the dark. So I tend to go to a park first thing to ride as much as we want pre-crowds in standby lines, then we leave when parks are starting to get busy around lunchtime for the rest of the day, and then go back to the parks for the evening to use our fastpasses and enjoy the parks at night (my particular favourite time of the day for Magic Kingdom and Animal kingdom). |

we are also offsite - so can only book 30 days out.
We have 2 park approaches. Early in holiday get there for park opening, ride the headliners before it gets busy, then first FP+ around 10:30 am and go for them as close as possible - eat lunch, do a show or 2, leave before really busy. Late in holiday - go late afternoon, watch a show or 2, have first FP+ around 6.30pm, as close as possible together then stay for fireworks etc, ride more when a little quieter and leave at closing. |
