Amex card help
I currently have a gold amex which I've had for almost a year and am about to cancel to avoid having to pay the fees. I've done this for many years and moved my points over to my Flying Club account however I have lots of miles and haven't got a clue when we'll being travelling again so am unsure if I'm wasting them.
I have looked at other amex cards, there's one where you can earn points but is fee free for less bells and whistles, I am considering getting this one for now and am wondering if it is possible to add my gold points to this and carry on collecting without having to 'cash them in' when I cancel Anybody done this? |

There is one that you can move to and keep your points alive, but I can't remember what it's called. I've never had it, but read about it on Head For Points. Worth having a look on there and I'm sure you'll find your answer.

I did exactly this. The card you want is the American Express Rewards Credit Card. Just make sure you open it before you close the File Card.

I phoned them and was able to do a direct switch from gold to rewards on the same account with no credit checks 😊
