Revolut just hit £1.40!
... I got some last week at 1.37, is it worth putting another few hundred on now while it's at 1.40 or hold off if it's going to continue to rise?

Fingers crossed it continues to rise! I don't have much more spends to get but if it creeps up again I will take extra to spend 😉

I usually put 100-200 on my card every few months. It spreads the loss or gain over time so doesnt seem so bad if it drops. If anyone could forsee which way it was going they'd be very rich.

Nobody knows the answer to that question, otherwise we’d be rich, rich, rich!
Shows how hard it is to predict though. You’d have thought with the budget deal in the States the dollar would have stengthened a bit. Just shows there is a lot playing on it. But good news. Let’s hope it continues |

I personally budget it at 1.3 and anything above that is a bonus!

Potentially silly question...but what is Revolut?
I've had a look on the old interwebs and can only assume its a bank but without the bank... |

It’s prepaid cash card. Really good. Used it last 2 trips with no problems. You just top it up via the app on your phone before/during the holiday and use it to spend anywhere.
Gives you the best possible rate of exchange. You can lock it via the app too which is handy. Will be using again this year as well as the Starling bank account I have just opened after reading about it in here. |
