Avanti west coast trains

Has anyone booked tickets with them? Looking for tickets from Lancaster to Euston for 3 July and normally I wouldnt be able to buy yet but Avanti say their tickets are available 24 weeks in advance. The same tickets are not yet showing on national rail. I want to get them because its a good price and we would prefer first class as we are travelling on to Heathrow so will have bags etc and dont want to be crowded.
Does anyone know how this works...as in Avanti are selling tickets but national rail are showing not yet available. I know Virgin trains sometimes released their ticket prices a little earlier but not 12 weeks earlier.

If they are available, I would book them. I booked last year direct through virgin and it was cheaper than trainline.

I have booked them for Easter, the 1st class from Liverpool to Euston was cheaper than standard.

I generally would book direct with Virgin rather than national rail and was only looking for a price guide so was surprised to see them available to buy.

We have just gone to Edinburgh with Avanti, no problems at all apart from the usual having to move people out of your seats, but that is a whole other rant!
