Shopping Online in Florida
This is just a question out of curiosity (sadly no plans to return at the moment). Following on from reading the thread by Halloweenbaby2 about Instacart got me wondering how people manage to shop online, as when we were there in 2019, DS wanted to order something from Amazon.com and have it delivered to the villa, however when he went to check out it seemed to realise that his visa card was a UK issued one and we couldn’t seem to get past this obstacle. I remember DH trying one of our cards for him as well as trying our pre-paid dollars card but had the same issue. In the end DS said to forget about it as it wasn’t anything that important. So I just wondered how others manage to bypass this problem? Hopefully it might help someone else travelling as well.

Hmm don’t remember the details of what we used or anything (guessing our Revolut card) but we ordered a suitcase from Amazon to be delivered to our hotel last trip and didn’t have any issues!

Was it a debit or credit card? I often use a UK credit card on US websites without an issue but it might be debit cards are treated differently.

wonder what the issue was... I find Amazon one of the easiest to use in either county.

I once had to use Paypal for some Walmart items to be delivered to our resort as the website wouldn’t accept a UK credit card - but it was fine to use it in the stores.

Thanks for all the replies - it was a debit card that DS was trying to use. DH tried with a credit card & still had same problem. A good idea from WDW-wanderer about using Paypal for Walmart. Not sure if you could use Paypal on Amazon though. My only thought (with hindsight) is whether using a vpn would’ve made a difference?

Although CC / Banks now say you don’t need to let us know about international spending we’ve found no issues unless it’s being delivered to an address
We’ve no issues as we’ve our cards registered to all our addresses Walmart is a pain though I’ve to use our US bank card for that |
