Best villa day

Think this has been the best day of my kids' holiday. Villa pool all morning, IHOP for brunch, back for more pool time and then Dominos delivery, eaten beside the pool! 9pm now and they're planning another swim.

Fab day. It's the simple things kids love best and spending time with family. We go all out planning surprises and these kinds of days are usually the special ones everyone remembers. Have a fantastic holiday !

You're so right. Our last two Florida holidays have been mainly Orlando based and busy theme park days have been a big focus. Weren't intending on a third trip but with bargain BA fly drive worked out better value than a European package holiday. So glad we're getting to see some of SW Florida but also having quality family time, particularly conscious that Childen won't be coming on holiday with us for ever

We are only going this year because we managed to get such cheap flights too. We keep thinking it will be our last family holiday as our son is now 19 but he still keeps wanting to come with us. !

That's good to hear. DS is 16 and hopefully will still come with us for a few more years, but I know that could change, so making amazing memories whilst we can

sounds idyllic ! My lot were always like that , always wanting to stay in the pool and preferring water parks over the theme parks!

Exactly right! A lazy day is not necessarily a "nothing" day. Probably my favourite ever day in Florida was getting up early to watch the sun rise and the hot air balloons pass over the balcony, then having a swim, then going out for a meal, then some time inside the villa, watching a movie in the theatre, and then having another swim later!

I have always said that kids will always love the pools, remember they don't have one at home... Its easy and its no effort to get out of bed and jump in the pool... They keep cool and have fun messing around...

You know what "I love pool days as well"...
