Tell me about Hertz
Are they a good company to use? Any hints and tips?
Do they have a save time equivalent? Also has anyone got any reviews of the Ford Explorer 7 Pax? |

I tried to sign up to the gold club but I was unsure was to select when it comes up with all the options of car hire excesses etc... I don't want to sign up to things that cost money. It will be our first time with hertz we did dollar or budget last time as waited 2 hours ! I don't want w repeat of this again not with 2 children |

We have used Hertz on our previous 2 visits.
The first time we landed at around midnight and there was a queue of about a half dozen people at the desk in front of me and only one clerk who was not rushing. After a couple of us kicked of another clerk came out. The person who served me was obnoxious and pushy and trying to charge me for everything including additional insurance that we didn't need. The 2nd time I joined the Gold Club after we made the booking but I still decided to chance it and go straight to the Gold desk. They didn't have my details but they sorted me out fine. We were then assigned a specific car and when I spoke to the lad in the garage about changing or upgrading it he just said tough basically, that's what you've got. |

Hi
Apologies was on route to Orlando. Screen shot of my preferences I’ve never had any problems with using this selection.. as always check your rental agreement carefully when you leave the garage for any extras. Hertz now offer Ultimate Chioce at MCO, not as good as Alamo but if you rent a standard through full size you choose from a section according to your status. Anything higher than full size you’re still allocated a vehicle, this includes SUVs, minivans and luxury. Alex |

We’ve used Hertz loads and are Gold club members. The preferences shown above are all you need to accept for US bookings - loss/collision damage waiver and supplemental liability insurance. I also have pre pay for fuel ticked as we prefer to do that and it means any price I get quoted includes that.
We’ve only used the option to go straight to the garage twice. The first time we went to the wrong side so had to go to the wee office. The second we were emailed our car details and where to find it. I would happily use Hertz every time but the past couple of years found Alamo slightly cheaper. |
