Just finished Season 1 of this on Starz Play which is an Amazon channel add on. Starz is so good with some fantastic series on. They recently had a deal 99 pence for 3 months which is a bargain.

Anyway, despite being the most potty mouthed series I’ve ever seen, Mr Mercedes is well worth a watch.

Without giving too much away, retired Irish detective (it’s a US series), failed to solve a serial killer case where the killer had driven a Mercedes into a group of jobseekers at a job fair, killing them all.

Retired detective is contacted and taunted by the serial killer, who is a real psychopath. Delves into his background as to why he is like this and basically shows you who he is from the start.

Brilliant first season, and season 2 is meant to be even better so watching that starting tomorrow.

Based on a Steven King book apparently and he is also the producer.

It’s almost put me off burgers for life.

Loved it.

Can't go wrong with Brendan Gleeson.

I have to say I enjoyed season 1 but gave up halfway through season 2. It didn’t hold me. It’s from the same series of book as The Outsider which was also made into a tv show. Holly is a character in both.

Yes I’ve now read mixed reports on 2- will see what it’s like but some love it, some think it goes a bit weird.

1 though is brilliant.
