Which villa should we book?
We are already booked for May 2022 and will be doing Disney/universal and are staying at storey lake with 3 nights at HRH. We are then returning without DS at the end of august for 10 nights at endless summer resort so will be buying annual passes for universal. We are now considering a villa for Xmas/new year and we will have a last use of our annual passes but apart from that it will be a no park trip.
We have gone back and forth about where to stay... location isn’t quite as important as we are not doing as many parks but still don’t want to be too far out. Options are Emerald island resort with a full pool. Solara Windsor at westside Storey lake again..all of these have plunge pools We figure the ones with plunge pools have lazy rivers and more amenities which is the trade off. We did stay at emerald island once but that was 15 years ago! If anyone has any advice about any of these resorts such as location/facilities or any good/bad experiences to help make my decision it would be greatly appreciated!

Before you book somewhere with just a plunge pool, relying on the use of a communal pool/lazy river etc, remember to check whether these are heated during the winter and to what temperature. The answer to this may push you towards one resort rather than another, or even to a villa with your own pool.

Also if you are just two adults, think about how much you will use lazy rivers and resort pools? You may prefer to have your own private pool rather than busy resort type of pool areas?

Also look at villa on our community Sunset Lakes next to Emerald Isle, all with their own pool and has a community pool.

You will find that the majority of estates have a communal pool and facilities with some offering resort type facilities such as gym etc. As someone already mentioned it's weighing up realistically how much you will use those facilities if you have your own pool.
