Delta comfort + (via virgin holidays)

Hi all,

Booked trip to NYC for April via Virgin Holidays. Flying out economy delight (or so I thought) flying home upper class.

Turns out flight out is a delta code share (didn�t realise until it was already booked). Having a quick look online satisfied myself that delta comfort plus would be broadly similar to economy delight (we did extra leg room flying to Florida in 2016 so know what to expect) but the thing that is bugging me is she has newt redirected to delta to book seats all comfort plus is greyed our and it says can�t book in your seat class at the moment.

Anybody know if this is normal?

One of the (minor) perks of economy delight is supposed to be being able to book your seat. Thinking of trying to switch flights back to a virgin plane to be honest. But live chat never works and will need to get my wife to call them as she is the lead name on the booking (as she had racked up loads of air miles via work).

Have had that before - after booking va website says comfort plus but when you go onto delta it�s main cabin. Vs site corrected itself nearer departure.
I have always had good results sending a dm to delta on Twitter

We flew with Delta a couple of years ago and could book seats free of charge. It was a VH booking and they were still charging for pre booking. Delta cabin crew were really good.

Log in via delta rather than Virgin. We�ve just done a delta internal flight but booked via Virgin. It showed up on �my booking� with Virgin but could never look at seats, but could always view and change seats using the delta app.

I can see the seating plan on the delta site but it specifically tells me that I can�t book seats at the moment

Still couldn�t book seats with delta by yesterday.

Mrs phoned virgin, switched to virgin plane leaving 90 mins earlier. To keep cost down �had� to move to flight 90 mins later coming home.

Additional cost �87 but now got 3 extra hours in New York and seats booked for both legs as planned.

Just got to wait til April 2020 now! (Have got a week in Italy in August though)

I had the same issue. Contacted delta via twitter and they booked seats for us 👍
