Pre-cruise hotel in Southampton
We're on the Enchanted Princess in August and the prices of hotels in the area have increased so much since we cruised last year.
But... Moxy has just popped up on Hotels.com at £70 per night and is coming up at that price booking direct with Marriott too. Looks like they have good prices across the whole of July and August. For comparison, the Premier Inn next door is £120 and so's The Village (my favourite) It's in a good location, parking in West Quay is £5 per night and I've seen a few of the rooms on IG/YouTube and it's new and quirky. Worth a look if anyone wants a decent priced pre-cruise hotel. |

Sounds a great deal. We have booked the Village again this year. Sadly our dates for the Moxy are over £200. I’ve had to grin and bear paying £150 for the Village ! I will make sure I remember boat show dates next time.
Hope you have a great time on Enchanted. |

Thank you We're going down to Southampton for 2 nights so the Village, plus car parking for the duration of the cruise would have cost about £350. I'd already booked parking and I was looking/hoping for a cheaper hotel to pop up, or only going for 1 night.
Our next cruise is Oct half term on P&O Iona and parking is included, and the Village was £57. I'm happier with that! |

last year we stayed at Village but in Basingstoke ... much cheaper and only about 30 minutes drive down to the Port if I remember rightly... we did drive down from Newcastle though and parked right across from the Terminal which was great when getting off the Ship and into Car within minutes..We are also on Iona October but the 29th so not sure if it's the School Holidays

Thank you for posting this. I am considering cancelling Eastleigh now and booking Basingstoke. I think it would be about 30 minutes out of our way but we would save almost £100 !
Could I ask did you eat in the hotel or go to Basingstoke. It is a place I know absolutely nothing about ! |

Hi had dinner in the Hotel … as first time booking and registering with them got it Free! and first drinks were free too.. it was better quality than a pub dinner and a good atmosphere in the huge Bar…
