Using virgin credit note

We had flights booked for Oct and when they were cancelled I opted for the credit note option. At that time they weren’t guarenteeing prices for 2021 flights as far as I know.

I last night booked for 2021 and used the credit note but realised afterwards that these flights were in fact cheaper than the 2020 ones, so what happens to the balance of the monies I paid?

I stupidly didn’t realise till afterwards and the hold time took ages so I’m hoping someone else sensibly did ask before I join the endless queue

They will refund the difference to the card you paid with. Ours was over £500 cheaper for next year and I had an email about 3 weeks after I changed them saying I’d get the refund in the next 2 weeks.
