Introducing two new princesses to WDW...offsite June 19.Day 14. MGM, celebration and Wendy’s

25th June

We were up ready and in the park for 9.10. We had Disney junior at 9.20 but I hobbled fast to tower of terror to get a return pass for me and Scarlett. When I got to the Disney jr hubby I swapped with hubby as knew he wouldn’t like this. Georgia loved it and danced and jumped. Scarlett wasn’t very impressed but she did sway to the music so as least that was something.

Next we had beauty and the beast but not till 10.30. So we had a look in a few shops and got a few drinks, restroom etc. All boring stuff then on to the show. I thought it was quite good actually and so did the girls. Grumpy wasn’t bothered. Dunno why he bothers coming to Disney when he moans about majority of things. Pretzels has been the best attraction for him so far I think. They were good actors and good singing. Was very hot in there though.

My return time for tower of terror was 11.30 and unfortunately it had gone down at 10.50 when we were sat waiting for the show. Annoyed me greatly as I really wanted to go on but hey ho what can you do.

Last thing was muppets. Got that at 11.45 so went there next. I do love the muppets. I think they are funny and so did the kids. I didn’t particularly like it when Georgia announced at the top of her voice that I am like beaker cos I talk like that and dads like the other one with glasses and bald. I end up with Georgia a lot so don’t always catch the conversation hubby has with Scarlett but she liked it too. It has not changed in 11 years though. Suppose don’t fix what ent broke.

We were done, tower of terror still down and couldn’t be bothered to wait over an hour for a return time for slinky. Although it was a das pass you couldn’t use it to go on any of the toy story ones when tower of terror went down. Must be to do with the tiers.

Went home and had a swim.
There was a massive wolf spider that hubby was so interested in we had to take a picture. I was just glad it was on the outside of the pool netting.

Got a bit bored so decided to go do celebration as it was on my to do list.

Parked next to the lake. Was very beautiful. We had a walk round and I thought I saw an alligator 🐊 there was a squirrel 🐿 at the bottom of every tree and lots of birds and few ducks 🦆. Think I’m getting carried away with the emojis. What we saw the most of was turtles 🐢 there were loads of them all bobbing their heads out.

We got to the shops and I wanted an ice cream but we didn’t know what we were doing about dinner so I didn’t. They had loads of lovely treats in there too but I was scared they would melt. Watched the bloke making the waffle cones too. Went in the macaroon shop but it was way too expensive for me. We spent a little time on the rocking chairs looking for more alligators.

It was so hot.

It said it was 38 on my watch but 37 on hubby’s. But still 37 is hot for me. We went to the tavern and hubby got a sour beer, I had coke and the kids had a children’s coke. We all decided that we weren’t quite hungry enough to stay and eat so got the bill. Was really expensive for just drinks and the kids cokes were the same price as mine even though they weren’t the same size.

Really wanted an ice cream but couldn’t be bothered by this point. Decided to have another walk round the lake back to the car. The kids put their drinks in the bin Scarlett was annoyed that I told her too as she had a bit left but they were messing so not carrying it all way round then we crossed the bridge, the very next bin the one Scarlett would have put her cup in a raccoon popped out of it. Scared the life out of me making me jump. We also saw what looked a bit like a log or a alligator head. We took a photo and 5 mins later the log was no longer there so not actually sure what it was.

Back off to home, was a good 30min drive so we called at Wendy’s on the way back. This seems to be our go to place when it gets late. Kids both had a kids meal, nuggets for one and burger for other and they split it. Me and hubby both had bacon cheeseburger and hubby got the cheery cream soda from the fountain machine only one machine is working today though so bit of a queue.

Back home, swim in the pool and snacks with tv.
