We have a mad trip booked next year involving 9 flights, 6 hours in Las Vegas and 3 nights in Southern California 😀
I’m a little nervous about all the connections!

I can see why you’re tempted, but I’m a bit of a civil aviation nerd. In normal times BA and Iberia both operate one daily rotation to Madrid on widebody jets (not A380) as a matter of course, and I would often try to be on those flights when travelling to/from/via Madrid, if the timings worked for me.



I’ve flown the A380 on about half the airlines that have operated them (BA, QF, QR, SQ, EK, MH and TG). I like the BA A380, just not so much in CW. My favourite in business class of those is probably QR.

I agree QR Q Suites are the best Business seats I have tried (both window and 2 together in middle - prefer the former as I love window seats).

I agree about the BA A380 toilet in Upper Deck Club cabin - you could almost hold a party in it.

The toilets upstairs were rather large!

Really enjoyed the flights, not long enough though. Champagne with my sandwiches and scones is always welcome.
Also given a glass of real champagne (other was champagne) but this was for first class passengers as different colour and taste.


Shown around the plane (twice) not able to see the crew rest area though I do have photos of it.
Even went into the cockpit along with many others.

Jerry from big jet TV was on the flight back.

Now I want to do a long haul flight on it
