Albinoni - Oboe Concerto in D Minor - Adagio. I heard it once and was smitten. Trouble is I had no idea what it was. I went round the music shops in Edinburgh trying to describe it! Then found it again. There is a trumpet version which is equally as wonderful.



The second is a very little known Scottish Band called the Bathers. Formed in Glasgow in 1985 after the band Friends Again split up, they are essentially the vehicle for singer-songwriter, Chris Thomson. The song I can play on repeat is Desire Regained but there is no link to the new updated version released this year. Instead I point you to Kelvingrove Baby.
