Activating tickets early

Sorry if this is dim, we have never stayed on site for the duration before!

We have booked hotel, tickets (14 day ultimates) and DDP directly with Disney. We arrive on the 13th of August. Since booking we have added 2 days in a different hotel again directly with Disney so now arrive on the 11th.
Question - I know the DDP won�t kick in until we check into the second hotel on the 13th but what about the park tickets? Will we be able to use those on the 12th?

You cannot atcivate your park tickets until check-in day. Many years ago you could get round it with a nice e-mail and a trip to a will-call booth but now it is all tied to your Magicband and there is no way round it. Once you have the tickets you can use them after your stay but can't activate early.

That's certainly the official policy but this thread from last year would suggest there's some inconsistency.

We have been advised that ours will be activated upon our check in for our 4 night complimentary stay at GF before starting our package stay at SSR following this. X

Try phoning their freephone number 0800 028 0778, either option 2 or option 5, they should be able to help.
