Universal hotel perks for parks - help.
Hi all
We're slightly confused with our understanding of the Universal hotel perks and hope someone here can clear it up for us! Am I right in saying, you can enter the park an hour early and get your express pass on the day of check in, even though you physically can't get into your room until 4pm? Then you also get early entry and express pass the next day? Is this right? Thanks all! Edited at 02:06 PM. |

Assuming you’re booking one of the hotels that offers FOTLP (HRH, RPR or PBR) then you get FOTLP for day of check in and check out so one night gets you two days of access.
Yes you can check in and get your key (which is your FOTLP) as early as you like, you just won’t have a room to come back to until late afternoon. All the hotels also include early entry. I don’t know masses about the details on this as during our time there is was only IOA and didn’t move from that but sometimes I think it is USF. Edited at 02:09 PM. |

Without wishing to be pedantic you don’t get front of the line passes. You get express pass, which lets you into the express pass line. In which you can generally expect to wait about half the time of the normal ride queue, or less and it can be more.
Due to the fact that guests at three on site hotels plus those who wish to purchase express passes a lot of people have them. It’s not a good as it used to be, still worth getting thought as they do cut down on the walking and waiting in line. We were there last week and on some rides the express queue was bigger than the normal line! |

Yes, you are correct, although depending when you go, the room can be ready before 4pm.
