Villa through The Dibb

We stayed in a Dibb villa this summer, had more advice and help than I have ever done. Really helpful owners.

if the owner doesn't have reviews on here, then ask them to point you in the direction of some - might be FB or their website. All owners will be happy to do this.

Just as a note of caution, check how active the owner is on the Dibb. We had major issues getting a security deposit back from a Dibb villa a few years ago. The owner was not very active on here (I believe she just joined to allow her to advertise the villa) and it was actually up for sale when we were there!

Owners who advertise on the dibb are ususally very happy to help with advice and knowledge...a friendly relationship like that fosters extra trust andcare on both sides
BTW you had abummer with that one, going against the grain
Owners are not allowed to advertise on the Dibb if the property is up for sale!

WE have booked a Dibb villa many times, but, and with no disrespect to Dibb owners, I still do the necessary ownership checks and look at the reviews.

The last villa we had was a Dibb villa. It was exactly as the photos and description on their own site, the owners were accessible and helpful, and the security deposit was returned as soon as we got home.

I have rented 3 times off the Dibb and are booked for our fourth stay in December. We have also used VRBO in the past.

As others have said, make the necessary checks and look at reviews

We have used the Dibb to book a villa about 4 times now and have never had a problem. They have always been as stated with their adverts and often have one or two more homely features than arranging through a large company. Do the checks recommended as others have said and ask plenty of questions.
