Perfect! Shouldn't be a problem! As long as online check in is straightforward!

You’ve bought a package which starts at POFQ. You would have to buy additional tickets to enter any park the day before your POFQ booking begins.

They don't want to do that though. They've only got their first night at the value resort, so their POFQ package starts the following morning, meaning that they'll be using their tickets for the first time that day.

OP, my understanding is that asclong as you've done online check in for POFQ, that you'll be able to head straight to a park on the first morning and use the magic bands from your first night hotel. All active magic bands attached to your account will work for your tickets and dining plan. If you're concerned when you get there, just have a chat with someone at reception

Loves2plan has it.

Your MDE account has your tickets on it and any magic band linked to your account can access those tickets.

Thanks for all the help!

One last thought, how will this extra day at the start of our holiday affect Fastpasses? Would it mean I have an extra earlier day to make my FP's for the entire trip?

yes, because your 60 days is before your first check-in date onsite .
