Christmas 2023 - When can we book?
Special milestone birthday in December 2023 so looking at booking Disney for over the Christmas and New Year period. I’ve never travelled at this time of year to Disney before. When should I start looking? Wanting to stay at a Disney hotel possibly sneaking in a Disney Bahamas cruise, fingers crossed.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks |

Normally I'd suggest waiting for the offers (most likely April) but you can book as soon the rates are online, since Christmas is always excluded from them.
Although if you're happy to go any time in December rather than specifically Christmas, I'd wait for offers since some check in days were included this year. It was valid on arrivals between 9th-18th from memory. |

We booked our 2022 Christmas back in June Last year (direct with Disney) when they where running Dining Credit and $200 gift card offer.
As long as you arrived by the 18th you could get the offer so we booked for 14 days arriving 17th which takes us up to New years Eve , Staying into January so now need to add a few days on. Hoping for another offer as nothing as good at the moment for Christmas / New year. Will Also be looking for Christmas 2023 as this is now going to be our preferred time to go instead of the summer holidays.

Sorry to jump on thread but can I ask what is the main differences going Christmas instead of Summer holidays. I’ve booked for August 2023 but would definitely love to go Christmas one year but would it be too busy and cold?
Thanks x |

It's not often that cold in winter, unless a cold snap comes through. I was there last month and the high ranged from 23-28 degrees and had zero rain. You'll probably need a jumper in the evenings, but the days are more than warm enough for t-shirt weather. A cold snap may bring it down to near freezing overnight with highs in the teens instead of 20s, but still better than here. MUCH nicer than August IMO but I really hate the heat.
It is VERY busy at Christmas though, especially compared to late August which is the start of the low season. If you have flexibility, going in early December isn't as busy but all of the decorations and Christmas events are already running. Edited at 03:02 PM. |
