Hotels.com free cancellation

Has anyone booked with hotels.com free cancellation where you pay when you book but can cancel up to a few days before you stay? How was it if you cancelled? How quick were you refunded? I’ve found a price I’m happy with but want to make sure it’s easy to get the refund if I need to.

We cancelled our bookings for jersey for the 1st of April
No issues at all

used them quite a bit and cancelled a few - no problems at all - refund arrived in a couple of days

Yes I’ve had multiple cancellations.

The hotel seems to be the ones who refund, not them, I had no issues with any. I’ve found them to be very good and have multiple bookings with them for summer.

Use them regularly, never had a problem with cancellations.

Do this a lot and always receive prompt refunds. It’s a great way of locking in a price but being to cancel and rebook if the price goes down.

Really easy, I’ve cancelled twice in the last year. Money went back in within a few days both times..
