Me again is this age related

Little tale of woe about 2 months ago I entered a survey about pcs ect they had a prize of a DATASHUR PRO 2 a 512 gob memory stick. I did not expect to win and just left it at that a few weeks latter I got a email from the company saying well done I won 10 days latter still no prize I though oh well it just a con a day latter I got another email saying so sorry that usb was out of stock but they had re ordered some 3 days latter a knock at the door and he handed me the box containing the usb. Well pleased but here where the fun starts I did what it said on the instructions but still world not work frist day tried for 4 hours no luck second day tried for 4 hours no luck. Today I thought I look online found out that I was plugging it in the pc trying to unlock it when you unlocked it before you put it in the pc must be my age

Working well know all the stuff I don’t want people to see I can hide

Kevin. Nice to get a freebie.

It probably is age you know. We got a new kitchen clock yesterday. No instructions in the box and I suppose they assume it's simple to set up so it's not needed.

Setting the time was easy, but it took me 15 mins to work out how to set the year!

Just make sure the data you put on it is securely backed up elsewhere. USB flash memory has got a lot better over the years, but it is still not infallible.

Enjoy your new tech.

The biggest problem with these "secure" sticks is that if you forget the code/password too many times, the data gets irrecoverably destroyed.

So make sure you pick something memorable but also not guessable

On the documentation side, failing to RTFM (Read The F* Manual) is a male thing and not age related
