Alot of people have issues with fingerprints. Don't over think it. Alot of people who work with their hands alot struggle to give good fingerprints for example. Your not the first person the staff will have seen with such issues.

My mum has severe arthritis in her hands and some of her fingers don't bend so she struggles to get fingerprints done. Take your time and don't worry as others have said

First of all they are NOT fingerprints. They are a biometric reading of the troughs and hills and the height differences on your finger tip. You can't detect those heights but a biometric reader can. I t checks several spots on the area. They work exactly how the finger reader works on an iphone. If you feel your digit is sweaty just wipe it before touching the little window reader. I believe Disney's computer keeps the image on its system for about 6 weeks and then it gets deleted.

What the scan looks like to a computer:

The finger scan device:

If you have no trouble having your finger tips scanned at Immigration, you should have no problems at the park.
If anybody's scan doesn't work a CM will take your photograph on an ipad and it will be linked to your ticket in the same way.

To the computer the read looks something like this:

Try not to worry, it’s not a finger print as you might think, as poster above says it’s just on a plastic plate so a little dab with a tissue and straight on will work wonders xx enjoy your holiday xxxx

Don't worry about it at all. Everyone sweats from their fingers/hands to some degree.

If you are worried, have you heard of Odaban? It's an overnight treatment available as a spray and now wipes I think. Does a good job of stopping unwanted sweat.

Thank you to everyone who has replied, I feel much better about it now knowing exactly what happens and what to do. Sometimes its the apprehensions of what will happen that makes it worse.

Thank you again

Don't worry about the biometric scan at immigration in MCO. I went last June just after I'd fallen over (& tried to break the fall with my right hand, resulting in 2 fingers in dressings). The Immigration Officer asked for the 4 fingers of the right hand first - I just held my hand up to him & he said "no problem". He took the 2 fingers & thumb he could scan on the right hand & all 4 fingers & thumb on the left and just said "we'll get those two fingers on your next visit" - which was in September.

TBH I was bricking myself as this was the first visit on a new passport too. I had my old passport with me also with a long US Immigration history on it's number, but the officer was not interested. He matched my details and I was in very quickly.

It must be far from uncommon for international passengers to have problems with the biometric scan, as you've been in a dry pressurised environment for 8-9hrs before arrival in Orlando. That said, as someone mentioned above the immigration hall is normally fairly warm!
