facebook hacked
can anyone advise... my boyfriend's facebook has been hacked by his ex who seems determined to break us up...we think it might have been a reaction to a letter his solicitor sent due to a previous incident where she verbally abused me in the street...
is there a law against this? |

Pretty sure hacking is illegal... but you will likely find it hard to prove it was her, take back the Facebook page and get the passwords/secure questions changed, then report it to Facebook and let them know and see what they can do. If they can trace it back to her, then you probably can take it to the solicitor as part of his case against her.

If she is able to break his facebook account, he must look at all his online accounts. Clearly he is not internet savy.

laws are tricky, youre probably looking at harrassment rather than actual hacking charges if anything
how have they "hacked" it? do they just know what password he uses for everything? can he get back in and reset his password? if its still registered to his email address, then doing a "forgot my password" thing could work. if shes in facebook, does that mean shes in his emails too? using the law probably isnt the best way to resolve this, first off, resetting passwords for everything to new, secure ones is a good start. you may need to contact facebook (and others) with some sort of proof of who he says he is to get the account back under his control. locking her out of everything, taking back control, and then sending a message to them getting them to grow up/stop/etc is probably the first port of call. hth hth |

Did he give her the password when they were together if so not a lot he can do .. if not it must have been something she would have known .
He needs to change all his passwords to something she won't be able to guess . |
