Buying fruit

Is there a shop walking distance from WDW to buy fruit at reasonable price..e.g. apples. Bananas etc?

We are staying at POFQ assume they don't sell in the shop?

Thanks

They sell it in the food court. It's not cheap but it isn't actually cheap in the supermarkets either at the moment. If you're eating at any buffets you might be able to grab some whole fruit to squirrel out with you.

Fruit was very expensive last August I thought, in supermarkets

Couldn't believe it cost more to purchase Oranges in Florida than it does in the UK

That's because Florida orange are mainly juice oranges not eating oranges. August isn't the season for oranges, they were picking last couple of weeks. There's not many fruits or veggies that grow in Florida in August, way too hot.

I still haven't recovered from the shock of how much I paid for one pepper 😬

It cost me $1.75 for ONE banana last year at the Beach Club marketplace , I wasn't feeling well and put it down to poor diet so decided to get some fruit, the next morning we went for a buffet breakfast and ate a lot better.
