Ooh,given me me a few things to look up now too.
We are doing New York on the way home from Orlando in August for 4 nights.
We have ds7 and dd6,I can wait to take them to Central Park zoo as they both love watching Madagascar.

We bought the NY Pass. That gives a lot of choice. Part of the Pass is a Food on Foot Tour. Basically you choose an area or theme that you would like. We did the East Side. We had 6 stops 4 savoury, 2 sweet at various places, some of which you would probably walk by usually. Good bit of history and chance to try things.

On top of the Pass we booked a visit to the One World Observatory which we really enjoyed.

I also recommend the Big Apple Greeter. A New Yorker shows you around parts of New York and gives a bit of local perspective. The service is free, but you can pay a contribution online to help keep it going.
Hi, please would you explain how the food on foot tour works. We have it included in our pass but don't think in quite get it yet! Thanks!

Sorry I can’t remember exactly. There are very specific instructions on the main Food on Foot site which must be followed for NY Pass holders. You book the time date and itinerary that you want. I think you give your bank card details in case you are a no show. If you don’t turn up they take the fee. From memory you show the Pass when you turn up at the meet point and this ensures that you don’t get charged.

As above you just need to follow the instructions exactly.

It was a great tour.
