Delta Terminal Change at JFK

Hello, we are off next week and its first time we have used Delta Indirect from Edinburgh. It appears EDI flight goes in to JFK Terminal 4 and ongoing flight to Tampa leaves Terminal 2. Does anyone know the best process of changing Terminals at JFK.

Thanks in Advance!

There's an airtrain that goes between all of the terminals

We did this this year and caught the air train, very simple. There is very little in terminal 2 so no fun If you have a long connection.

If you have to change terminals from 4 to 2 (and the domestic flight could change terminals up to day of travel), it’s usually quicker to reclear security in T4 and take the Delta airside bus (from next to gate B18) to T2, rather than taking the AirTrain.

Agree, twice now our terminal has changed at some point between taking off on the first flight and landing. We always check now as soon as we get off the plane rather than presume it’s still at the terminal originally stated.

Thank you for all the replies, I read somewhere about a Delta bus, so this seems like the best option and of course will check terminals on arrival in to JFK.

I agree too about the bus - its called the jitney. If you re clear security in T4 and then get the jitney to T2 (I think its labelled as the C Gates) that would be better than trekking your luggage on the air train to T2.

We’ve done both and found the air train simple enough this year. Was really quick.
