Virgin holidays upgrading cabin

Has anyone booked a package holiday and then upgraded from economy to delight or premium? Can you do this by contacting virgin holidays and do they add the extra cost to your booking or do you have to pay the extra cost upfront ?

Yes, we originally booked Economy Classic and then during a call to VH we changed to E Delight for £30pp extra, they wanted too much for PE £350 pp one way I think, but yes the extra was added to our bill x

We are going next month and I noticed today on the app that they were offering upgrades, it showed which seats were available too

As milly said its added to the final bill, the upgrade option shows on your virgin dashboard but you have to ring them to upgrade.

I know you used to be able to do it on the chat function on their website but I believe they have actually got rid of this now

Think they’ve got rid of chat function.

I used to chat about upgrade every month or so. About 3 months before I left I asked and they offered me an upgrade for all 4 of us from Economy to PE for £136 total, 1 way.

Its on your booking/itinery page next to booking seats, its the upgrade options button, push that and it tells you to ring them on:
