Tui and Air Lingus - booking seat

Has anyone booked the above and how long did it take for Air Lingus to recognize the booking on their site ?

I hope someone has some experience.

I seem to be stuck between Tui and Air Lingus

The ref Tui gave me is not recognised on Air Lingus website and Tui say I have to deal with Air Lingus ..

So much for booking a package - going round in circles between them

It may not be ticketed yet which is why Aer Lingus is not recognising it just yet.

I was told I could book seats straight away but Tui say it will be 16 Nov.

I asked the TUI rep that exact question, apparently at around the 6 month point or thereabouts Aer Lingus site will accept the reference number on their site. Make sure you do all your API's and check both websites for requirements, think AL may have slightly different baggage allowance/size requirements?
