We were just about to cancel our flights as didn't want the uncertainty of whether it was going ahead or not. So I was surprised when I received their email which helps us as we will now get a full refund and not lose anything

we are booked through netflights holidays so only had a £50 pp deposit and I have to say they have been great, we have had our dates moved to Manchester but its the same flying out and back (virgin took a day off but they got it reinstated). Yes its going to cost £160 more for M&G T1 parking and a night premier inn for the 4 of us but one plus is that we'll get to florida 2 hours earlier which will make a big difference to a tired 2 and 7 year olds who will be starting to struggle after a long day.
I'm looking at it as our holiday starting earlier with a wee road trip the day before, I know, but what else can you do... It helps we paid £1300 for the 2 adults 2 kids from Glasgow and they have honored this price in the move so that's decent of virgin as could have just cancelled and presumably sold the remaining seats on Manchester for more. Its yet another bump in the road but it will all be worth it (I pray!) onwards and upwards... Edited at 10:52 AM. |

I wonder if they’re relying on some cancelling though so as not to have to try any squeeze everyone on to the existing flights?

Well , finally managed to get seats sorted today after about three hours on WhatsApp and phone, I am not happy at all as I had to fight tooth and nail to get seats together as they did not want to give us the rows of two which we had selected from Glasgow as they wanted an extra £30 per seat for them , absolute cheek wanting more money when we will be at least an extra £500 for train and hotel for the five of us because of this , I was so close to cancelling today with them but the thought of losing the holiday altogether was just too upsetting, hope everyone else effected is sorted now xxx

At least you’re sorted now and can look forward to the trip. Let’s hope we all get there after all this!
