We will be paying for flights, accommodation and travel ahead of the trip so this doesn’t need including in costs 3 nights San Francisco (we would like to do Alcatraz) 2 nights South Lake Tahoe 3 nights Yosemite, el portal 3 nights Las Vegas 2 nights San Diego 1 night Anaheim 3 nights LA (hollywood) 1 night Santa Barbara 1 night Monterey Thank you in advance |

HI there. When is this for? Do you have flights and accommodation booked? And is it a road trip or are you doing any internal flights?
Your itinerary is actually really good! We did similar last year as a honeymoon of sorts we had eloped to the US earlier in the year and it was such a great trip I’m going back soon. We didn't do Tahow though so can't help with that. I assume your trip isn’t too soon and then Highway 1 will be open for you so you can do it all the way from LA-Santa Barbara-Big Sur. Spending money is hard to say because you can do it cheap or splash out. We do a mix. Some nice restaurants and then In n Out burger type meals. I don’t go mad shopping either just a few bits in one of the outlets. So we budgeted £200 per day and came home with money so I would say 2-3,000. Just editing to say this thread should be on the planning and not the trip reports but hopefully the mods will move it for you. Edited at 11:00 PM. |

Thank you,
We fly on 9th September and will be doing the big sur at the very end. I know highway 1 is scheduled to reopen mid-late September so hopefully we’ll be able to use the road. Fingers crossed! Il move my post so it’s in the right place 🙈 |
