RIAS home insurance - anybody heard of them?

My best quote for home insurance this year is coming from RIAS - £6 cheaper per month at £21 than any other quote with only a £50 excess (gone are the days of home insurance under £20 a month it seems!). I've never heard of them but after a bit of a google they look legit with a 5-star Defaqto rating. Any body any experience?

I still need to compare the policy wording and what's covered, but on the face of it it looks okay...

Both my mum and myself have used them. Never needed to make a claim though.

This is good to hear. Thank you. I think I’m going to give it a go. Getting fed up with Aviva and their attitude!

they are a large company and part of Ageas , if you look that up you will see some of the other brands they work with. Ageas are actually the 3rd largest for car insurance in the UK

Used them for both a House and car insurance. Never had to claim though. Usually worked out cheaper for us

We used to alternate between them and SAGA but gone with LV this time.
Never had to use RIAS but SAGA were pants when it came to having a problem!

We used to be with them and made two claims over the years we were with them, on both occasions they were excellent, claims sorted quickly, would definitely recommend!
