Bumped Onto An Earlier Flight?
Hi
Anyone ever turned up at Gatwick too early and been offered the earlier flight? ie the 1145 instead of the 1300. Just interested if Virgin ever offer this? Steve |

Unlikely. That flight looks wide open for sale (which is a bit surprising at half term).

More chance of being bumped from the early one to the late one.

If the return flights on Sunday aren’t busy, what’s the betting the earlier flight goes “tech”

A few years back was flying on the late flight which was delayed but had arrived in time for the earlier flight and was told I could transfer but it would cost £350 although they had quite a few empty seats so doubt you will be unlucky

I booked the later one for my trip this September - I wanted the earlier one but only the later one was showing when I booked it. Then a few weeks later I found out that I'd been put onto the earlier one. On checking, the later one wasn't showing. It's the same for my return flight - I've been bumped from the 19.55 (which was the only one showing when I booked it) to the 17.25 - on checking, the earlier one wasn't showing. I'm happy about the outbound change but not the return as it means I won't have time for a decent lunch before getting the DME.

Worth a try if there are lots of seats available.
