Fantastmic dinner reservation

How bad is Hollywood and Vine for the fantastimc dinner plan? Only want to use 1 credit, so Brown Derby is out. Last two times did MAma Melrose, whilst the first year (2012) the food was great, last year, was very disappointed, both in terms of food choice, quality and service. Ate at Hollywood and Vine in 2010 and not overly impressed I must admit, but what are your opinions? Is it now a character buffet in evening, and if so, which characters?

On a similar vein, does anyone know which restaurants, if any, will be doing similar for Rivers if Light when (if) it opens?

It's Minnie's seasonal dine for dinner. It was beyond dire in 2015 when we went and there's no way I'd go back.

Rivers of light package restaurants last year were Tiffins, Tusker House (including breakfast) and a QS, which I think was Flame Tree...then it was all cancelled...

We dined at H&V last October as part of the fantasmic package and we found the food to be fine, not a big selection but it was tasty enough and we all enjoyed it (4 adults) but it is expensive for what it is. The character interaction was brilliant, Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy. They seemed to be on permanant rotation and visited every table posing for pics and signing autograph books taking as much time as needed, as I've said, we were a party of 4 adults but we all got our photo's, very enjoyable.
