Recently been registered disable what help can I have in the theme parks
As the title says I was just wondering what help there is in the theme parks, I am not in a wheel chair , but can not stand for long periods or walk without stopping many times which I am.fine with and we just have to go at a different pace now ..any thoughts or tips would be gratefully received, we are going to wdw and universal in March and although this will be our 25th time this is the first time I have had to ask this question . Thanks in advance

Hi I would deff rec hiring a chair or scooter. I dont think you will qualify for a DAS as mobility problems usually are not covered as they will rec hiring a wheelchair. The wheelchair lines are often quicker anyway.

I get a DAS because I have mobility problems due to nerve damage. Standing or sitting for long periods are not possible. Just explain why you need it.

OP's issues seem similar to a stamina issue.
Most probably, the CM at guest relation will suggest using a wheelchair to avoid standing periods. I'll just have a question for the OP you said you've visited 25 times. is that a new condition, or is it that you've just been registered for a situation that's been ongoing for years ? if this is a new condition, then yes, go to guest relations and try for the DAS, which you may, or may not receive. but if it's a condition you've had to deal with in the parks in the past, then being registered "officially" as a disabled person will not make a difference compared to the last time you went, re: getting disability pass. |

No unfortunately this is a new condtion after being diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago it's left my body in a horrible state causing a whole manner of issues one being walking and standing
