How do you put music on an IPOD

Another Ipod question sorry but I cant remember how I put music on my ipod years ago I think it might have been by my computer but I no longer have one I just use an ipad any ideas on how to transfer music across thanks

Through iTunes - but you will need to connect it to a computer as your IPad doesn’t have a USB port. I may be wrong though!

You’ll need to connect it to iTunes via your computer! I echo the above poster, you can’t do it via your iPad!

Maybe just use a subscription music service and download onto iPod with that. Does you iPod access the internet?

My husband copies CDs etc onto his laptop and transfers them onto his iPod. He doesnt have an iTunes account but loads of playlists which cost him nothing.

Is it a Classic iPod, iPod Shuffle, or an iPod Touch?

If it's an iPod Touch (i.e. it has a touch screen) then you can connect it to the internet via wifi, and then use the iTunes or Music app to download music. Otherwise, you can connect the iPod to a laptop or PC and download music onto it that way (as the others have said). In many ways, an iPod Touch is very similar to an iPhone.

If it's an iPod Shuffle or Classic iPod (i.e. doesn't have a touch screen) then you'll have to connect it to a PC or laptop. It's can't connect directly to the internet nor to an iPad.
