Transferring points questions

Hello, Im wanting to help someone else make a DVC booking for December 2022. In order to make the reservation I am wanting to transfer some of my points to her.

I’ve read that these need to be current UY points. My first question is - my UY is December, does that mean I can transfer December 2022 points to her as that is the year of the booking? Or can I only transfer December 2021 points now as that is my actual current UY today?

Secondly, I see you can only do one transfer per year - I own points at two resorts under one membership as they are both Dec UY. Can I make one transfer per each resort or just one overall?

Just thought I’d come back here and update this in case it helps others 👍

So turns out you can transfer any current points - basically points that haven’t been banked or borrowed (I’d misunderstood and thought they had to be for the current year that you were in!).

So basically I was able to transfer my December 2022 points to someone on the dibb, because they were current Dec 2022 points (not banked or borrowed), regardless of the fact that I’m not yet in my Dec 2022 use year.

The other helpful thing was that I was able to transfer both animal kingdom and Bay lake points under one transaction. This was because I was doing it all at one time, and transferring it all to the same person.

We did have to have a three way phone call - I rang DVC and then placed them on hold whilst I rang my dibb friend and added her to the call. Other than DVC ending the first call we tried so having to join a second 1hr queue, it worked seamlessly the second time. I wouldn’t be scared about doing it again.

Anyway, thought I’d update you all incase you wanted to do a transfer in the future and ever struggled with the same questions as me 👍
