Alamo standard SUV

Hi there
We have hired a standard SUV which says Ford Edge or similar, I remember someone putting in here way back the code letters for each class of car. Can anyone remind me of the code I should be looking for for that type of vehicle. We once had to ride off in an equivalence of a Vauxhall Moka which I’m sure wasn’t the class we had booked. It was ok a bit on the small side though 🤔 I want to make sure we don’t get fobbed off again lol
Many thanks

A Standard SUV is SFAR

The codes are known as Accris Codes

You may be right. Alamo are tinkers for putting Intermediate SUVs in the Standard row sadly

Well I’m on their case now no more fobbing me off lol
If there aren’t any standard SFAR ones I will make sure we get the next bracket up for the same price, what will that Accris code be please? And also where about on the car are the codes displayed? Many thanks

The next SUV up will be something like a Ford Expedition.
However they will try and fob you off with a 7 seater people carrier!
The code is sometimes on the key fob, or the door pillar and the barcode on the windscreen.
Next code is FCAR.

If you do miss the code and end up with a lower tier, you can claim the difference back from Alamo (this happened to us one year when we had an intermediate Nissan Rogue, refunded ok).

I think Mr Tom's usual good advice has suffered a typo, I think it should be an FFAR. The second letter being an F indicates it is an SUV as opposed to a C for a 2/4 door car

We arrived yesterday, pretty poor choice in the standard SUV line, 5 or 6 Kia Sorrentos, 3 Dodge Journeys, a Jeep Cherokee not the Grand, a large Jeep Wrangler that looked like Postman Pats van, a Mitsubishi and 2 GMC Arcadias which is what we took, seemed to be the best of the bunch.
