Bahama Bay Resort

Hi, anybody any experience of staying here. We weren’t going back this year (yes that old chestnut) but after going to Barbados in October/November we realised why we love America and Florida as there is always something to do. We were a tad bit bored in Barbados. However we are skipping Disney and Universal instead going for Seaworld/Busch/Aquatica tickets and a non swim day at discovery cove and wanting to explore a bit more of Florida. So usually we do a split stay of Disney and villa. We are stuck between decideing on a villa for the 2 weeks or bahama bay due to the space but hotel amenities and that fact our youngest is very sociable and likes to mix with other kids at the pool. The eldest doesn’t really like swimming. Currently waiting on BA to get back to me to confirm a ground floor room availability in bahama bay. Price difference is about £350 between bahama bay 2 bed condo and a 4 bed villa on southern dunes. Any experiences of bahama bay would be welcomed and opinions on what you would be opting for

Another recommendation for Lisa's condo. It maybe worth contacting Lisa directly as I think she has two condos.

We booked with Virgin (contempo) and unfortunately hated our ground floor apartment. The site itself is fine. There was a long list of problems with the apartment, from electrical issues, beds, noise, toilets and showers. The parties in the apartments above were awful, and the spa ladies wearing hardly any clothes at the pool weren’t family orientated.

We stayed in a 3 bed in Bahama Bay in 2016, and it was perfect, I would happily stay there again. The location is fab, the onsite pools are great especially the one down where the Tradewinds pool bar is, good food, music round the pool, and shows sport with pool tables etc. The kids liked having a wonder down to the fishing dock to have a look at the wildlife. Id stay there again but the kids don't really socialise with other kids (or anyone for that matter haha) and they love having their own pool.
