Mobile Disney with a 15 month old

Hello, we have been looking at going away this September we had been looking at a european week away but i stumbled across some deals for this September that wasnt much different price wise to the European holiday we looked at. Looking at one week from Bristol with TUI my question is will this be doable with a 15 month old? He is very good and a happy little chap and i do think he would enjoy it and have alot more fun than a beach holiday. What are peoples experiences with kids of this age the main concern is the flight time.

cheers
Neil

Though he will not remember too much, think of all the memories and photos you will have...go at his pace and have a blast...we have taken our granddaughter 4 times and she is only 3! 😀
For the flight, I just put some colouring stuff and other toys in a bag, but she mostly watched the ife.

I had concerns about going with our (then) 18 month old granddaughters and their Mum and Dad, complete with buggies, car seats and no having the girls on our laps for the flights - also TUI from Bristol. Yes, it was a bit of a struggle, especially when we had a 24 hour delay on the way back, but worth every second. You’re never too young or too old to enjoy Disney, and the memories live forever!

Wo took our son when he was 8 months old and although he doesn't remember any of it, it was a truly magical holiday. We have so many pictures of the fantastic time and got a few one off souvenirs of our time there with him.

We took him again the following year and that was also a great holiday.

The car seat and stroller took most of the strain away so I wouldn't be put off taking a small child to Disney... the only draw back is that he now says no other holiday can match a Disney vacation. We pretend this years holiday is for him 😜

The flight was fine (Virgin for that holiday) and he slept most of the time. The nappy change was a challenge in the small toilets, however we managed.

So, I would say do it 👍

We hired the seat with the car and purchased an infant stroller from Walmart when we did our first shop, think it was about $30 but was perfect.

We then noticed in the garage of the Villa that there were 3 strollers and a car seat... clearly left by the owners of holiday makers like us. We used the stroller right up until we got back home as it was a god send at the airport in Orlando. Think we may have even used it a few times when we got home.

With the pushchair, I took a cheaper one from home...make sure it reclines... and has a good Hood... I got a second hand one.. the first time we took our own car seat...

This November will be my sons 3rd time and he is only 2! It's a magical time and the memories you will make you will treasure for ever!

We always take our car seat with us as it's cheaper than hiring one and also our pram too - it's small enough to take straight to the gate of the plane!

What ever you decide have an amazing time!

We took car seats with us as the girls were used to them. Isofix bases too, and they fitted easily on the the hire car. We stayed in a villa and TUI said that cots would be there but they weren’t, and reps weren’t much help so got a couple from Walmart. Double buggy we took up to the door of the plane, but other end it comes back with the luggage so had to carry them as far as that. As we were rather slow we were at the back of the Immigration queue, but a lovely US officer pulled us out of the line and up to the front!

Edited at 10:19 AM. Reason: Cots not cost

We might wait but get booked up for May for his 2nd birthday but the good deal for September is still tempting us. We have decided we will come to a decision this evening and get things booked up either way!
