We had this tonight.
I love lentils, so I enjoyed it. However, a major issue was that there was no coriander in my box (didn’t check on delivery ) and too late to pop out for some! The other problem was that it needed a pestle and mortar and mine is packed away for our move. It did taste lovely though. Plus very easy to report on the Gousto app and a refund immediately applied to the account.

Mmm I agree. For us it is typically £10per meal (for two) which is silly compared to what I might normally spend for the two of us at home. I can only justify Hello Fresh or Gousto if there is an offer on.
Simply Cook works out as £2.50 per meal (for two) and two or three pounds for ingredients, so I find this more reasonable. |

Interesting ...for the two of us we worked out it was costing £24 for four meals for the two of us so £6 per meal £3 per head per meal.
But that was whilst we were getting the discount. A bit more pricey now discount gone. Maybe time to "leave" and see what they offer us.

I once did an experiment and ordered all the things I would need for my meals through tesco and it only came up about £5 less. Granted some of the items I got were full size bottles/packs but when I factored in the convenience plus the fact we were all trying lots of new varied balanced meals every week I decided it was worth the extra.

I will do it for a novelty if the offer is on and I’m bored in winter
Tonight a pack of finest beef mince , half an onion , tin of tomatoes and a few bits of spice will make homemade meatballs and pasta for 4 for probably £2 a head or less so I don’t think it would work for us , I do like cooking though and a fan of a yellow sticker so I’m not the target market Because I enjoy cooking I would like to order and copy anything we enjoy . Loving your pics already getting a bit of inspiration |

There is only two of us and I have been dipping in and out of it again. Didn't get one last week and have cancelled my box for a fortnights time.
This week I've gone for what seem to be comfort food options. I've got harissa lamb hotpot with minty beans, chicken curry pie with mustard greens, sage and onion pork meatballs with apple sauce and comforting cottage pie. I'd bought a Yogiyo Fiery Chilli Ramen Noodle kit from Lidl last week. Made it last night but I had to go to two shops to get the ≈≈≈≈ake mushrooms and beansprouts plus buy rumpsteak. Cost me more than the Gousto option with time and petrol taken in.

There’s 2 of us and for well over a year I’ve been having the boxes. I now wait for an offer and rejoin if I feel like it, have the boxes whilst on offer and maybe a week or two after, then cancel again... a few weeks later the offers will come in... I vary between Hello fresh and Gousto, I like both and do like trying new dishes...if I like them I will do them again but it saves me buying lots of ingredients and then not liking the dish and wasting stuff... it’s also got DH trying new things...

This is us although I don't think I've ever had any offers through when I've cancelled. Feeling left out. Haven't tried Hello Fresh as the meals on offer didn't appeal when I looked. Will give it another look I think.
